Carly DuCharme

Carly DuCharme grew up in Connecticut and lived in several different states before settling in Texas. In January 2017, Carly started training jiu-jitsu at Team Third Law Academy in Naples, Florida under black belt Roberto Torralbas. Carly received her blue belt in 2019. In search of an academy that felt more like family, Carly started training at Medley Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Naples, Florida with black belt Ale Silva. After winning Gold in the 2020 IBJJF Miami Open, Covid-19 shut down jiu-jitsu gyms and competitions everywhere.
Being dedicated to jiu-jitsu, Carly continued training on her own, developing at-home training strategies through solo drills and jiu-jitsu specific workout programs she developed with bodyweight exercises and resistance band training. When Covid-19 restrictions were lifted, Carly would return to jiu-jitsu, but not until a relocation to Keller, TX when her husband was offered a once in a lifetime job opportunity.
Once in Texas, Carly spent time at two other academies before she found the home she was searching for at Falcon Jiu-Jitsu. Carly earned her purple belt with Falcon Jiu-Jitsu after winning Gold at the 2022 IBJJF Dallas Open.
Carly holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Development, a master’s degree in Exercise Science, and NASM Personal Training and Corrective Exercise Specialist certifications, as well as being a licensed Realtor® in the state of Texas. Carly has experience in behavior modification and coaching, personal training, jiu-jitsu, and self-defense coaching. As a female jiu-jitsu practitioner and dedicated competitor, she is excited to promote the participation of women and girls of all ages in jiu-jitsu. Carly did not start training jiu-jitsu until age 35. Now at age 39, she believes that it is never too late to start your training.
When not training jiu-jitsu, Carly enjoys spending time with her husband and two small dogs. Carly is also a licensed Realtor® and enjoys real estate investing.

Justin Wilson

Justin Wilson is a loving husband and father to Jessica and Henry Wilson. Justin and Jessica made the decision to give jiu-jitsu a try for Henry in the summer of 2021 at a local metro gym. The location just did not fit their expectations, so they decided to hold off until they found the right place for them. After a few months of Henry asking to do it again, they came across Falcon Jiu-Jitsu and decided to give them a try. In late October, they made the decision that this was the best location for Henry to train. In December, the couple made the decision that 2022 was going to be their year to get in shape and have fun doing it. Both joined the gym with Jessica starting in the fitness class and Justin in adult jiu-jitsu three evenings a week. As his life began to change, mentally and physically, Justin realized jiu-jitsu is a great addition to his family’s lives. In the beginning of February, Justin was asked to put on a gi and help with the kids’ class when they needed another person on the mat. It was a complete success! The Falcon staff quickly realized how well Justin worked with the kids and how well they took to him.
Outside of the gym, Justin has a full-time job in transportation and loves spending time with his family. The entire family has a love of cars, both R/C and full size, and being outside. On the weekends you can find them either walking around a car show, launching the R/C trucks through the air, or enjoying the outdoors.
